well funny thing... it is nowhere to be found. and her opinion on the matter does not over rule the constitution... at least it shouldn't. I know the officials have been getting flooded with letters from people opposing this garbage, and do they care to represent the people? NO! they need to be reminded that they work for us and not the other way around.

Not pickin' on you, Scarecrow but "reminding them they work for us" and "voting them out" just doesn't seem to work, does it? I'm older (56) and have put up with this sh$t for a long time now. You can send all the letters you want to your reps and what do you get back? Frikkin' form letter full of BS that basically says "I hear you but I'm not listening to you". I read recently that the incumbency rate (that is, the odds of staying in once you're elected) is something like 98%.

What we need are term limits, but of course, that's like asking the fox to stop the fox from raiding the chicken coop. So, I'm pessimisitic as hell. What we have is a ruling aristocracy that believes it's above the law that it imposes on the rest of us. Couple all this with the fact that probably half the country now votes for someone to GIVE them something. What to do? I don't know, but I get fatigued by the "vote them out" cheer. Never seems to do any good. All my life, I've watched things go from bad to worse, Dems, Repubs, makes no difference.

Many things are desirable to have but are not rights. Health care is one of them. You have the right to the free exercise of religion, you have the right peaceably to assemble, you have the right not to have troops quartered in your home. You have the right to keep and bear arms. But you don't have the right to food, clothing, shelter, HDTV, or medical care. You are at liberty to pursue education, but you do not have a right to it. All those things are nice, but they're not rights.


Glad Stabenow is pro health care? You mean glad she is pro SOCIALIST health care—the most expensive there is, also the worst.

JJ, I'm 61 and couldn't agree with you more. I've said it before: The Dems and the Repubs are just two sides of the same coin...these are Heads, those are Tails, and whichever way you flip it you still have the same old coin. We've had 'these' assholes in charge and 'those' assholes in charge and nothing ever seems to change!

What we need is a whole new set of assholes!

actually I don't take that as picking on me at all. I agree with everything you've said.. I am not really one of those "vote them out" people because I think that voting doesn't really do much anymore. there is so much corruption in the system now days. but I still would like to let the officials know that there are a lot of patriots out there that are very against what they are doing and refuse to be controled. I agree with glenn beck that a non-violent revolution is in order. and if that doesn't work... well the constitutionalists will have to figure out what the next step will have to be. but while we still have some of our freedoms we need to use them and speak out. too many people do nothing but complain with no action.
