Obama screwing military families, yet again!

I got a voice mail from my son's daycare (which is on a military installation) around 2:30pm HST this afternoon. The message was something to the effect that "President Obama has issued an order that Federal offices can close early today. We would like you to pick your son up ASAP so we can leave early to enjoy time with our families."

I'm thinking to myself now wait a minute, a letter was sent home about a month ago saying that they wanted to give the staff the day off on the 27th, so they were requesting us to voluntarily keep our children home. If we absolutely needed childcare, they would accommodate us if we let them know by a specific date.

Now I was on the range until around 3pm, so I didn't listen to the message until I was on my way to pick my son up. This kind of last minute BS gets my blood boiling! I'm already losing a day of work this week (Friday) so the staff can take the day off. Now they want me to pick my son up early today as well? Something's not quite right here.
