I think jwtollett21 was replying to Glockster20's post because he posted 2 minutes after me. I would like to know what he has to say about HR1022 though.

I "assure" you...

When it is all said and done.......... in the history books......... President Bush will go down in history as one of the best presidents of the United States.

Contrary to what you believe right now......... he will..........

I'm not a bush fanatic either.

There are a number of things that Bush has done that I do not like but after 8 years of The Clinton's. Well you see were I am coming from. Now the prospects of someone even worse than Clinton, Lord is that possible?

Call me a troll or whatever but just because i don't have the same political outlooks that most of you do does not mean i am wrong or that i am here to cause trouble.

Dude-

You are a boy living in a G-Damn Bubble! The Gun Rights issue has been taken completely off the table in this election by the Democrats (effectively I might add) because they know it is a LOSING issue for them. Therefore, they have refused to debate it nor mention it. If you think for for one minute that Obama, Pelosi, Reed, Schummer, Kennedy, Rangle, Frank, Lautenburg, et al don't want you defenseless and stripped of your 2nd Ammendment rights then you are out of your mind pal! YOU and your ilk are about to give the most liberal version of the Democrat Party in history the ULTIMATE RUBBER STAMP! You must be INSANE! You are clueless idealog and a danger to this republic!

Take your change and keep it!

Well then using your own logic they would be dumb as hell to ever bring up the idea of a ban again knowing that the margin of victory for the Dems is fairly narrow. Not only that but the supreme court has just recently reaffirmed that it is an INDIVIDUAL RIGHT.

I feel many on this site are so concerned about their gun rights they are blinded to all the other problems facing America. I can not let my love of guns or the fear of losing them force me into choosing anyone other than the one I feel has the brains and the vision to steer us out of the mess we are in now. We need a man of action and vision to get us out of the mess we are in. McCain didn't even think we were in any trouble saying and I quote, " The fundamentals of the economy are sound." That is word for word the same quote as President Hoover in 1929 shortly before the bonus army marched on Washington and he called out the Army to disperse them by force of arms. Contrast his inaction with FDR's New Deal and all the programs he developed to put this country back to work. FDR was called a socialist and a traitor to his class by almost all his pears yet today we know he guided us through one of the most volatile times in history that America has ever known. Fast forward to election 2008 the safeguards that were put into place to keep the market from getting to greedy were gutted and we see the greatest loss to our economy since the Great Depression as Yogi Berra would say it's like Deja Vu all over again. If we do not learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. Remember also that during the 1930's much of the world fell to Fascist dictators they were even touted by some here at home as the new way forward that democracy had run it's course. Thank God we didn't fall into that trap and one of the main reasons we didn't is due to the confidence that the people had in FDR. Had he not taken quick and firm action to relieve the average man on the street problems we faced back then we might have been doing the goose step and the stiff arm salute.

He was one of the worst Presidents ever. Him and Wilson together did more to destroy this country that our founding Fathers fought for and gave us than any president until Johnson. Now you want to put Obama the Marxist in office to finish the job.

McCain was quoted as saying the "fundamentals" of the economy were strong when the fundamentals were indeed "strong". If you have a crystal ball, please share with all of us. Perhaps it will help us with future economic crises......this isn't the first time or the last that we will face economic turmoil.....especially given the fact this is now truly a global economy no longer dominated by the USA. Funny how nobody ever "blames" Clinton for the excesses of the 90's and the Dot Bomb Fiasco that completely melted the NASDAQ?????? The fact is Clinton wasn't to blame, just as GW Bush and John McCain were not to blame! As far as the gun issue, just remember.....my 2A backs up your 1A!

As Charlton Heston said, "From my cold dead hands!"
