The average price of a AR-15 in .223/5.56 by any manufacturer has more then doubled since November 4th, 2008...

I locked in my S&W M&P15R yesterday with my credit card. Just need to send my money order. I just checked with the same dealer, they are out of them now. Maybe I should have bought two.

When I was at the gun store this past Saturday, there was a guy there buying two AR's... He had to leave them at the counter because he was being delayed on the ok. AK's are still reasonably priced, I think I am going to pick one up while I still can. For that matter I think I am ready to fill out form 4 with the ATF... I have always wanted a Thompson SMG! There was a 1921 for sale on gunsamerica but the seller was evidently out of his mind as he was asking 41K. I am looking for a SB 1927 or 1928 with a little bit slower rate of fire than the 1921.

I went to the gun show here this past weekend and had "sticker shock". Most of the AR-15's were anywhere from 1100 bucks to 2000 depending on brand and configuration. Looked at a few Sig rilfes that I would like to have and they were 1200-1600. The few AK's I saw were in the 650-750 range. There were a lot more people there than I have seen in a while. It was hard to walk down some of the islefor all the people. It is amazing what electing a Marxist President will do.

Just as with gas prices there's always those who will take advantage of a situation for financial gain. Just hope Obama doesn't get the next AWB on his desk, it may be the end of more than just the AR-15.

I deal with only fair vendors that do not price gouge. Fortunately I have my M&P15R secured with a credit card as this dealer is now out of them. The MO is going out this afternoon priority mail. I wanted to get a ready to use AR-15 first before attempting to build one. I don't think S&W can make them fast enough now.

Well Obama has made his first promise on the economy. His Marxism has stimulated the economy by boosting the demand and sales of firearms, ammunition and magazines. Congress and Obama should be monitoring how many NICS checks are being done. American Shooters in Henderson has been getting more busy. I'm afraid to go to Arville to shoot my MAK-90 because of how busy they've been.

If there's another group buy on AR-15 lowers, I'll going to pick up a few and build some.

I have 2 doublestar lowers coming after the first of the year (already paid for two) and an upper that should be here by years end. HOPEFULLY, I have the lowers before any type of ban goes thru, or at least, it'll be grandfathered in since it's paid for (I hope that'll work!). I also just purchased a Mossberg 500 persuader 7+1, pistol grip on gunbroker.com. Just waiting to finalize the transaction and have it sent to a local FFL. Now it's time to start getting the ammo before he taxes THAT out of sight too!
