Seems to me that the original point of this thread is the incremental infringement on our rights to protect ourselves using firearms. This issue is another foot in the door for the anti's and it must be confronted EVERY SINGLE TIME by ALL who appreciate their rights as guaranteed by the constitution. I think this is the point of the British and Australian experience and why the video post IS relevent.

As for personal property. If a property owner doesn't have a right to restrict carrying on his/her property, what else will someone say they don't have a right to do with their own property? Of course when confronted with such an owner I as someone who always carries has the option of never again darkening their door! And to this end I carry cards with me that state that point, and will use them with businesses and private individuals. Although in Montana most of us are gun nuts and so I don't expect to go through many cards.

BO (Bohemian) is correct in that civil rights supersede property rights. Although the 2nd is both a civil and property right. The right to KEEP AND BEAR arms. I just like to debate these topics, through open discourse we all learn more

Bohemian

Here in Ohio, we can not carry in any establishment that serves alcohol.

I also have a CC permit for Pa. this allows me a much larger section of the United States that has resiprosity agreements.

I didn't realize that some states allowed CC in casinos or bars that serve alcohol.

Is there a chart anywhere that would show some of the basic laws for each state?

Such as Ohio can't carry in Churches, Hospitals, Schools, bars, State and Federal Buildings, etc.

Not a chart, but a good summary of each State's laws: Concealed Firearm Permit Information By State
