| I received a reply from Senator Voinovich asking for his opinion on the Oboma Budget, we need to know who is on our side? Budget, 2nd Amendment, CC, etc. We could send letters and attach a copy of Senator Voinovich's letter and ask if they agree. Than we could compile a list of who we want to vote into Congress and Senate, as the seats become available. June 2, 2009 Dear Charles: Thank you for contacting me regarding President Obama's Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 budget. I appreciate hearing from you on this matter. On February 26, 2009, President Obama released an outline of his FY2010 budget. After carefully reviewing this document, I have significant concerns with the budget. The proposal unrealistically promises everything to everyone and masks the sacrifices Americans will be forced to make if it passes. The $533 billion deficit figure in FY 2013 ignores the continued borrowing of roughly $200 billion a year from Social Security and other trust funds, while doubling the debt in five years, tripling the debt in 10 years, and continuing huge deficits beyond the five years detailed in the budget. While this budget promises to make middle class tax relief permanent, it also spends at least $634 billion to increase the role of the federal government in the health care system, and it does not clarify how our government budget, which is already stretched by existing entitlements and tax reform and relying on the phase-out of the spending in the stimulus bill, a reduction of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and revenue from cap-and-trade is irresponsible, and as a result I did not lend my support to this budget. Budget experts universally believe that in order to get our astronomical deficits under control , we must fix federal entitlement programs such as Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The head-in-the-sand mentality on behalf of the President and Congress needs to stop. It will be much easier to tackle these problems now, rather than waiting until later when there will be significant pain for Americans who depend on these programs. With these concerns in mind, Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) and I recently introduced the Securing America's Future Economy (SAFE) Commission Act, calling attention to the irresponsible and reckless fiscal path we find ourselves on as a nation. The SAFE Commission Act would take long-overdue action and establish a national commission to examine our tax and entitlement system and present long-term solutions to place the United States on a fiscally sustainable course. I believe that the decisions made in Congress today will be reflected upon the lives of our children and grandchildren, and that we have a responsibility to ensure that we leave a proper legacy. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the 111th. Congress to find responsible solutions to our nation's fiscal problems and practicing greater fiscal responsibilities and discipline. Thank You again for contacting me. As a fellow Ohioan, I genuinely appreciate hearing from you. Please feel free to contact me again regarding this or any other issue that concerns you. Sincerely, George V. Voinovich United States Senator |

| The best thing to do is research voting records for those running. Do this in all areas of interest to you and pick the one closest to what you want. Unfortunately there is no perfect candidate. |

| "Bi-partisanship," my ass! As long as the Obama-nation is in office, the word is an oxy-moron. Of course, most of Congress are morons, anyway.

| This a copy of the email I sent to Congressman Wilson and Sen. Sherod Brown in Ohio. I wonder if I will get a reply? Dear Cong. Wilson I received my letter from Sen. Voinovich with his feelings on President Obama's Budget, but I haven't received anything from you. I have many that are interested in who suports the Gov. take over, and hand outs to unions for political gain, and who believes in Free America and not Socialism. | I did receive an email from Senator Sherrod Brown, it is the typical BS say nothing reply. I think as far as Ohio goes (Sen. Voinovich is a Yes vote) (Sen. Brown a No vote) (Con. Wilson a No vote) Dear Mr. White: Thank you for expressing your views regarding President Obama’s nominations for executive branch positions. Those appointed to President Obama’s administration will be responsible for implementing his policies and advising him on issues relevant to their departments. I look forward to hearing from the President's nominees and learning more about their views when they come before the Senate for confirmation. I appreciate your concern, and when the Senate considers their nominations, I will certainly keep your views in mind. Thank you again for getting in touch with me. Sincerely, Sherrod Brown United States Senator |
