There are state run and charity hospitals that care for those who don't have the means to pay. It is also against the law to refuse ANYONE emergency care based on capability to pay. The problem with cuts is that education is usually hard hit during these and it's already been cut to the bone. Another area for cuts would be defense. With current worldwide events do you really want to cut that? Who do you think is going to pay the trillion (yes trillion) dollars for the proposed health care program? And that's just to get it started. Then there's the abuse of the system. Even now go sit in an emergency room and see how many are there with sniffles and get upset when a trauma patient is taken ahead of them.

Its those very unconstitutional mandates that are largely responsible for our high cost of health care, with in excess of 12 million illegal aliens using the emergency room for their primary health care facility...

Sanctuary State California is giving IOU's for income tax refunds because they are bankrupt from the billions they are spending on free health care and welfare for illegal aliens...

Massachusetts is bankrupt from their Mandated Universal Health Care System...

Like every other Socialist and Communist idea of the Usurper Obama's and jwtollett21's, its failed everywhere else in the world its been tried in history...

Its flat out unsustainable...

Bohemian while we disagree on one particular subject we agree that universal health care is a very bad idea. One question though, where in the Constitution is it that bans mandated emergency care?

I'm well versed on the states rights issue, however, this law mandating care is only for those facilities accepting payments from the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. I agree that the federal government needs to stay out of the universal health care proposal and leave it to the states. When you start accepting money from the government though you grant them some control.

Sometimes being in Southeast Michigan does have a little blessing from time to time. We have good access to the Canadian News on CBC. On any given night you can listen to a report on how bad the Canadian Health Care system is failing. There are many Canadians that travel thru Detroit from Windsor or Port Huron from Sarnia to see an American Doctor. I have a cousin in Harrow, Ontario. He never stops complaining... Their taxes are very close to 50% of his income. Is that what you want for us here? This BMHO propsal is poor at best. It will lead to abuse and exorbitant fees. Let alone what it will cost us and our grandkids in taxes.

Unless you can show me something to the contrary; as I see it... what I posted applies to anybody who walks into a emergency room or facility that provides health care...

Coincidentally; "Department of Health and Human Services" and Medicare are also unconstitutional socialist entitlement programs; that you would be challenged to find a single major hospital not deeply embedded with...
