Highlights on the agenda: ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House. The network plans a primetime special -- 'Prescription for America' -- originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate. MORE Late Monday night, Republican National Committee Chief of Staff Ken McKay fired off a complaint to the head of ABCNEWS: Dear Mr. Westin: As the national debate on health care reform intensifies, I am deeply concerned and disappointed with ABC's astonishing decision to exclude opposing voices on this critical issue on June 24, 2009. Next Wednesday, ABC News will air a primetime health care reform “town hall” at the White House with President Barack Obama. In addition, according to an ABC News report, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, WORLD NEWS, NIGHTLINE and ABC’s web news “will all feature special programming on the president’s health care agenda.” This does not include the promotion, over the next 9 days, the president’s health care agenda will receive on ABC News programming. Today, the Republican National Committee requested an opportunity to add our Party's views to those of the President's to ensure that all sides of the health care reform debate are presented. Our request was rejected. I believe that the President should have the ability to speak directly to the America people. However, I find it outrageous that ABC would prohibit our Party's opposing thoughts and ideas from this national debate, which affects millions of ABC viewers. In the absence of opposition, I am concerned this event will become a glorified infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda. If that is the case, this primetime infomercial should be paid for out of the DNC coffers. President Obama does not hold a monopoly on health care reform ideas or on free airtime. The President has stated time and time again that he wants a bipartisan debate. Therefore, the Republican Party should be included in this primetime event, or the DNC should pay for your airtime.  This is outrageous. Once upon a time, it was merely suspected that the mainstream media was biased towards the Left. Nowadays, the MSM is blatant and "in-your-face" about it. They don't even try to hide it anymore. We are quickly heading towards government-controlled mass media, AKA PROPAGANDA. Anyone remember a somewhat obscure Austrian many years ago who rose to power with smooth words and eloquent speeches, and accomplished the same thing with the media as he took over Germany? Oh yeah, and he also registered everyone's guns prior to confiscating them. |

| I seem to recall learning about that guy... even saw some of his museums when I was in germany.. freakin nut job.. now we have our own version of him running our country. firing ceos of non government businesses, trying to take away our means of protecting ourselves. are enough people pissed off enough yet?

| Obama is not the anti christ. Get real. We do need Free Universal Health Care for all american's. For Gods sake we are 34 in the world in healthcare. Our insurance company's stood under oath the other day and were asked the question. If your clients pay their premiums will you cover their claims and they said no. So if we commit the crime and get sick the health company's don't have to pay for our bills, they can do whatever they want and jack us around. You will pay more for your premiums now and you might be covered or you can pay less or no more on your taxes and not have to worry about it. Its not socialism its our right and we all deserve it. Even the conservatives in other country's are for it and wouldn't change it and call it one of their great national treasures. What our government needs to do is quit wasting all our tax dollars and start putting it to work for ourselves. |

| just like the post office. Thats socialism to. What about all our school systems i guess since they are tax payer run its socialism to. I'm sure you guys will be rejecting your medicare and social security benefits since you all don't participate in socialism. |
