| I want to know. If he was born in the US, and he has a valid birth certificate… I want to see it! As an American, I have every right to ask him to provide proof of his eligibility to be the Commander and Chief of my country. And, yes... it is mine. It is ours. America belongs to WE THE PEOPLE. We are a people who have a great respect for the law. Obama has thumbed his nose at the law. Contrary to his disillusionment, he is NOT above our laws. If they apply to us, they apply to him. He is constitutionally required to have been an American born citizen to be eligible to become the President. It's plain and simple. Show your proof Mr. President! And, maybe just as important... it is about Obama demonstrating a desire to earn and keep the trust and respect of the American people. His actions regarding this matter demonstrate an arrogance, one that says he could care a less about what WE THE PEOPLE thinks or wants. JW, if truth and integrity have any weight with you, read this article by Andrew McCarthy. It might help you better understand why the birth certificate issue matters.

| President Obama IS a US Citizen!! The birth certificate was checked and most likely rechecked and the birth notices in local newspapers were verified. Even congress is moving on with this topic. "However, it appears Congress has moved on and has accepted Obama's island birthplace. The U.S. House on Monday unanimously approved a resolution recognizing and celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hawaii becoming the 50th state. A clause was included that reads: "Whereas the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961.""
