How do you rate Mr. Obama's job performance thus far?

I had to go with strongly disapprove. whatever this idiot is doing doesn't even sit remotely well with me. the fact of the matter is that he is hiding something. first of all he should have presented his original birth certificate to prove he is qualified for the position. he has not done that which should have immediately disqualified him. he brings us closer and closer to socialism. he puts a huge rush on bills not letting them be fully read first. is this what we want at the head of our country?

So far, we now have effectively nationalized the financial institutions, mortgage banking, two auto manufacturers and are on the way with the health plan and the cap and tax, etc. to a completely socialist country. Not to mention apologizing to the world for our troops dying in order to help out other countries.

The Lilly Ledbetter Act wasn't about equal pay, it was about the statute of limitations. Unfortunately for Ms. Ledbetter, she didn't discover the pay discrepancy until years after the S.O.L. expired. And to that, I say tough luck. She didn't seem to have a problem with her wage until she discovered that it was less than some of her co-workers. I personally believe that a co-worker's wage is none of my business, and that my wage is an agreement between myself and my employer. If I don't like what I am getting paid, I can go ask for a raise. If I don't get it, or I still think it's not enough, I have the right to seek employment elsewhere.

As for SCHIP, I make sure MY kids are taken care of. Why should I also have to take care of someone elses kids? I didn't have the fun of making them, nor do I have any influence in the way they are raised, which most likely will be to rely on the government their whole life. Ride the slippery slope, and here we are now, fighting tooth and nail to avoid Obamacare. Additionally, these crooks sold this program to us by telling us that it is primarily funded by the increased tax on cigarettes. But wait a minute, I thought the cig tax was supposed to help with the health costs of smokers. And what happens when you tax a behavior? Fewer people engage in such behavior, and the tax revenue goes away. It won't be long before the cost for SCHIP far exceeds the cig tax revenue, and where do you think funding will then have to come from?

As for the embryo research ban, I don't even give him credit for that. That amendment has been in that appropriations bill for 13 years. I would have given him more credit if he had vetoed it because of that amendment. Not that I would have agreed with it, but it would have atleast shown that he stands up for something he strongly believes in.

The Ledbetter Act: "To amend title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, and to modify the operation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, to clarify that a discriminatory compensation decision or other practice that is unlawful under such Acts occurs each time compensation is paid pursuant to the discriminatory compensation decision or other practice, to amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to provide more effective remedies to victims of discrimination in the payment of wages on the basis of sex, and for other purposes." This is about equal pay. As for kids they can't take care of themselves and some of the "parents" shouldn't have had children. They deserve a start in life regardless of where they came from. After becoming adults, well they're on their own. Embryo research is a controversial subject and differences of opinion are normal. There is very little good Obama has done for this country but what little he has done should be recognized. This does not mean it corrects the wrongs or makes his Presidency a good one. I, along with many others, can't wait for his four years to be over. Hopefully by then people will realize the mistake and elect someone else.
