Here's what happens to the guy's friend immediately after the kidnapping.

Take notice of the Anarchist's tee-shirt... disguised under the auspice of Obama's Campaign Slogan "Yes We C.A.N."

While we all have something to worry about with Obama & the U.N.'s Global Initiative's, including but not limited to: The Well-Known & Obama Supported & Enthusiastically Endorsed U.N. Global Poverty Act that Contains a U.N. Global Gun Ban; This group of protesters was made up of self-proclaimed Anarchist's...

Bunch of damn hippies. I saw quite a few of these videos...self produced evidence of what little rat bastards these people are. Rolling dumpsters down the road at the cops, throwing rocks....being dicks. Then they wonder why they get arrested.

Try protesting like the 9-12'ers and the tea party people. Polite, respectful and yet getting your message across.
AMEN! These little punks are not about protesting and all about destruction and mayhem. "Peace Protest" my eye!

I too have a big problem with the military being used to arrest someone like that. I would much prefer to just see these p*ssy anarchist b*tches get their heads split open by a nice hunk of hickory then see them get arrested.

I hate these radical anarchists as much as you do, but what if it was you and I protesting Obama and his policies? Here is a video of people PEACEFULLY protesting in Pittsburgh - no dumpsters pushed, no rocks thrown, no people in masks and bandannas. And watch what happens to them - it could happen to us very soon.

What does this look like to you? General police control? Looks more like the Gestapo to me. This is martial law in OUR country, in Pennsylvania. And the LEOs are using helmets, shileds and LRAD trucks.

We're next, people. When we decide to take our tea parties to the streets, look what's going to happen. This is disgusting!

+1. We can all get on board when it is some left wing loony nut but what about when the tables are turned and it is one of us. We have already been labeled right wing terrorists by our government. Turning our country into a police state and especially using the military sets a precedent that may well take us somewhere we don't want to go. The military should not be used against citizens period. That is what we have the police for. As the saying goes. "What goes round comes round".

"First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist; Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist; Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist; Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew; Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me."

Uhmmm, not so much.

Can you tell me why peaceful protesters need helmets?
I agree, that people should be allowed to protest. The 9/12'ers and Tea party people proved you could do that without incident (and without press coverage) on the weekend of 9/12.

Here's some of the last part of the first one from a different angle.

Notice a few cops...and they're just trying to secure that corner. There are protesters standing 10 ft from them and they're not giving them (the cops) any problems...so they're not being screwed with. If this was a crackdown...why were they allowed to get that close? There is one cop clearly walking around with a weapon (hopefully with rubber bullets), he could clear that corner pretty fast...but he doesn't.

It looked to me the ones who wanted trouble got what they were looking for.

Looks like the Gestapo? Let's not exaggerate. If it were the Gestapo, bodies would be littering the streets and hanging from lampposts. This guy with the megaphone would have had a bullet in his head before he finished a sentence. And the Soviets would have rounded up and shot the first 200 people in the street, and if that didn't work, they would have rounded up another 200. Neither Heinrich Himmler nor Lavrenti Beria would have issued orders to disperse.

Don't forget that these particular protesters are expert at staging confrontations in which they appear to be peaceful and the authorities brutal.

I am glad to know we are not quite there yet. I am sure in the early stages the Gestapo was not as bad as it became either. We can pretend that all is well in our country, that this is America and "it can't happen here". We can be like the ostrich and bury our heads in the sand and just like the frog in warm water slowly boil to death as the heat is gradually turned up. As a side note I have no doubt that provocateurs were planted. That has happened many times before but lets not lump all of those there in the same group or get over joyed when the Constitution is trampled under foot.

I will be the last one to say it can't happen here...

But I will tell you in the case of the recent activities at the G20 in Pittsburgh, the police and national guard and the like were not out of line... In my view.

these same yahoo's were doing the same b.s. in at the G20 in London just this last April...

Again Police were vilified...
G20 protests: riot police clash with demonstrators | World news | guardian.co.uk

Some justifiably as in this case...

Most unjustifiably...

Now if something like that happened here in the U.S. during something like the 91209 T.E.A. Party in D.C. I would be at the head of the line for Revolution...

And I am sure I would not be alone...

Don't be duped, but be prepared...

HK4U: I share your concern about government abuse of power, whether it be use of physical force or the creeping nanny state. Now I see that some town is trying to ban the public use of smokeless cigarettes. Yes, the situation is bad.

Keep in mind that in Pittsburgh, both police and protesters know very well that cameras are all over the place. There's nothing the protesters want more—and the police want less—than video of people being beaten up. Notice that the guy with the megaphone looks like Mr. Middle American, with his blue button-down shirt, conservative grooming, and regular-guy demeanor. That's no accident. The radicals know that assigning the megaphone job to a bearded freak wouldn't be good strategy.

My earlier post should have been more historically accurate. Himmler headed the SS. When the Nazis were seizing power, street protests had been handled, with bloody efficiency, by the SA (Sturm-Abteilung, or brown shirts), under Ernst Rohm. But once in power, the Nazi leadership viewed the brown shirts (correctly) as a gang of uncontrollable street thugs and brawlers who had outlived their usefulness. So Himmler (with Goring) founded the Gestapo as a sort of replacement, and Hitler disbanded the SA and "dealt with" its leadership.
