Keep to he high road. The windbags at PDO did not help the cause a bit. Well thought out conversation will be educational for all. Keep it civil or go the way of PDO.

Family and female friendly is good. Hopefully, there won't be any "anal-retentive" mods here that delete posts for no particular reason (Insults, arguments, and obscenity aside). Mods with their own warped idea of what is "pertinent to the discussion" chap my cheeks. I quit visiting a very good forum recently due to that.

Well, we should carefully consider the full significance of Packing.org (RIP), and what it provided us...

...and do the opposite.

I like friendly debating, I don't like childish name-calling and idiotic ventures into the extremes of the hypothetical.

I want to see cool pictures, give and receive good advice, meet some interesting people from all over the country, and take part in an online community with one goal... a positive source of information regarding one of our most cherished freedoms.

Plus, we need to have a few caliber wars... so that we can have some fun, too.

I have to agree on this one as well as reign in the self appointed few and their attempts to control the site! ;)

This is a GREAT idea and I plan on getting this made. I agree that it's almost as nice as the recip maps in my opinion.

As for this thread, I thought I'd pin it so I can get everyone's idea. I really like the feedback. When I first got into concealed carry I got information from all over the place and I still do. I'm by far an expert but I have the web development background so I started a site that I could pool all the info I found as well as provide a great online community. Things are going great since this weekend and we'll see where things go from here.

I encourage any feedback you have or other features you'd like to see. I don't have an unlimited amount of resources or budget but I will constantly be working on making this site better and better.

Default The best site.

In a moment of realism no one site will ever satisfy everyone.
The best that we can hope for is a great usable site.
The owner, Luke and the members make the site what it is.
PDO had some good features as does THR.
PDO got out of control and THR is over controlled IMHO.
Finding a happy medium will difficult at best and each one of us will have to give and take.
I look forward to enjoying this site.

Greetings Luke,
The reciprocity map is very creative! Worth the price of admission alone! <grin>

I believe the forum will develop its own personality as membership grows. Since
you are the Executive Housekeeper Luke, what is your view of future of
USACARRY?

Best wishes and good luck!

Bob

I hope for a family friendly atmosphere. My wife is new to concealed carry, but I would like to get her involved in a site like this.
