I wrote a blog on here the other day about not giving my business to establishments that do not want me and my handgun on their premises. Especially the movie theater. It's their right not to want me there, just as it is my right to patronize somewhere else. A few people on this forum agree with me and have voiced their intentions to do the same. I have been thinking of ways to inform places that wish to hinder my rights as to my intentions. My friends in the community I live in suggest a business card of sorts describing my decision and that I will pass their name on to other responsible persons. What are some of your thoughts on this ? Any suggestions? Thanks for carrying, the worlds a safer place because you carry.

My friend has posed a thought provoking question, his resolve to carry how handgun at all times has been strengthened, as it should be after the tragic shooting in Colorado, but he has said that he no longer wishes to give his business to establishments that do not allow guns on their premises. Including restaurants. I got to thinking about it, and he's right. Of course of you carry conceal nobody knows you have one in the restaurant or anyplace else. I carry almost everywhere except the courthouse and postoffice but I carry open, my resolve is to carry conceal a lot more, my lc9 with 8 rounds would have stopped that " joker" at the theater or at least slowed him down. Nobody needs to know that your carrying unless something goes down. So to all my brothers and sisters out there carrying, keep on. I feel safer knowing your out there, let's help keep the USA a safer place.

I'm Driving home to Tennessee from a vacation in Florida, had a great time. I'm originally from Florida so I have a lot of family down there. The majority of them are gun owners but have never considered carrying a handgun, so I was surprised when my aunts and uncles wanted to know what I carried in tn and my recommendations for handguns. They talked about the crazy guy in Miami who ate the other guys face and other crimes and crazy things going on in Florida. Other people I talked to are thinking the same way, protect themselves and their own. People who have called me a redneck, and paranoid, are now seeing the wisdom of self reliance. Congratulations folks, get your permits!

Now this gentleman has talked with me before on the subject of politics and our countries decline of morals, and he has always been progun when he started in on how dangerous it was for me to carry I was surprised. I kind of laughed and told him I took the class and had a permit if he wanted to see it, but,r I appreciated his concern. He then asked if I carried in the customers homes, I told him no, I usually left it on my van. Has anyone else ever had this happen?
