Newbie looking for advice

Hello, I am Jim in Mich and new to this site and have only had my concealed weapons permit a few months. I discoverd what a lot of you already know, target shooting is fun; and expensive.

I am looking at a pair of old Berretas; one is a Model 76 in very nice shape and the other is also a Berreta but a Model 72. Before I decide whether to buy I, of course, want to shoot them. So I field stripped them to be sure they were lubed and clean. Fine for the Model 76 but on the Model 72...
