Going to Montana this year to go elk hunting. Got a tag for one. My question is whether my Remington bdl 700 270 win is going to be enough rifle. I have taken plenty of deer with the 270 and confident out to 400 yards. Will the 270 win be enough rifle if I do my part or should I go to something bigger? Any help I can get would be nice. I have always liked a 38 revolver for conceal carry. It may not be the best option but from time to time I still will choose it over my other carry guns. It may not be the best choice but its a choice none the less.
