I was talking with a friend the other day about where to shoot and the ethics of kill shots. I have always been an advovate of well place head or heart shots. But as I get older and wiser I am beginning to wonder if shoot to kill is the right choice. Im still debating this subject and am interested in any opions or veiwpoints anyone else may have.

If you talk to any law enforcement officers or anyone that had that experience, they say the same thing......A dead man can't sue you!

Center mass is always the best shot- that provides you with the greatest amount of mass to fill with lead...

In the CCW course I went through, they said something like 86% of people shot by a handgun survives. They put this question the same way as others have said, you only shoot to eliminate the threat, but a dead threat can't sue you. Whether or not their family can is a concern too.

Best advice is always aim center mass. Whatever the BG is presenting at the time whether it be head or torso always aim center mass. When it comes to court you'll burn yourself by using the terms kill shot or deadly force. If you tell the court that you felt threatened and reacted with your God given right to carry and aimed center mass with 2 or 3 shots it will prove that your soul intention was protect yourself and not take a life.

Personally, I would not post my intended action on what I would do to a BG. However I do know of someone who had to shoot where the BG survived and sued him. The good guy got 8 months home confinement and now the BG is suing him for everything he has!!! If I was forced into drawing my gun for real, I would just empty the magazine - mostly out of being scared. 17 rounds of 9mm is going to stop anything on 2 legs. And for those who think you have balls of steel don't kid yourself...understand and accept that you will likely be crapping yourself and shaking like a leaf so training is essential to stand any chance of doing what needs to be done.
