They mix just fine when I LEGALLY carry in an Indiana bar and LEGALLY enjoy a beverage or two with my dinner. As you well know, it’s a responsibility just to carry a gun. You have to be responsible all the time or lose that benefit. You’re just spreading the trash anti-gunners spread.

You didn't read what I wrote very carefully, pal. I said "I'VE BEEN TOLD". I did not say that was my personal belief. For example, I started this thread:

Open carried my stainless steel PT-145 as usual. Then went there for Tuesday night karaoke open carried, as usual. ... Drank two beers over about 1 hour, ate nachos. ... I was rather disappointed. Nobody screamed in terror at the sight of a gun. I felt no overwhelming urge to fondle my firearm because of two beers.

In response to my opening post, I was told by several OTHER members of this forum that alcohol and guns don't mix. For example:

I do however competly disagree with drinking while carrying a firearm. Your brain is your first line of defense, and a little impared is still impared. If I had been there while you were drinking while OCing, I would have been grateful that I knew you had a firearm so I knew it was the right time to leave. I guess that is one benefit of OC over CC. And I know this will bring up comments of "I can handle my beer, you must be a lightweight, uugh I'm a man!!" Drinking while carrying makes me question the persons judgment.

I do support your right to drink and use/carry firearms if you choose to. But I will leave the room/area if you choose to do so around me and my family.

The problem seems to be the self righteous people that care about their beer more than other people safety. I'm sure every drunk driver went out with the intention of getting drunk. I wonder how many also said "I can handle it".

You chose to drink and carry, I chose to to stay away from people that make that decision. Best case scenario your decisions only screw up your own life.

I have to take strong objection to carrying a firearm and drinking whether it be in public or private. Carrying a handgun is a serious decision drinking at the same time shows lack of respect for our right to carry. This is no longer the "wild west" and we don't carry iron on our hip into the saloon.

Thanks for clearing that up, but regardless of whether I've been here for 10 years or a day, I'm not going to look up your entire posting history or any other of the thousands of members to this site... it's just not practical. Instead I went by the pertinent post you made to my thread.

Might I just suggest that if you intend sarcasm that you make it clear. I either add "[sacasm intended]" to the post or use one of those crazy little emoticons.

So does it really make any difference to post businesses here? All the comments I've gotten have indicated to me that no one really cares? Wow.

I guess I just assumed the people here were proactive and cared about this. It is a WI business but they distribute to almost half the states in the union. You could all make a difference.

The next visitor to Wisconsin needs to look up Wisconsin Gun Owners, And click on their "Don't Buy List". It has a rather large listing of anti-gun businesses. Very good info for new visitors.
