That may be true but it is the fact of the matter that I will not support a anti-gun establishment. Why set yourself up for an appointment with a police officer responding to a man with a gun call from a store owner that obviously has an ax to grind with gun owners? The sign may not carry any weight, but...criminal trespass charges do. I also would just as soon respect someone's property wishes just as I would like mine to be respected.

That being said, even if I noticed a crime being committed on that property against the property owner, I would not assist. He has chosen his path and I have chosen mine. I respect the owners choice of becoming a potential victim of violent crime, and that he o she does not wish to be offended by a handgun of any make or model...sad...just sad...

BTW if y'all ever stop over be sure an bring yer gun we welcome all makes and models at our home ;)

Do you ask everyone who's in trouble for their 2A stance before you help them?

You'll protect everyone but the owner? What's the owner look like?

    /shakes head.

Why won't you go a CIVILLY and POLITELY talk to the owner? Maybe no one has taken the time to explain things to him.

What do you lose by trying? Nothing. But you can gain everything.

FL law has no bearing on fed laws.

I know that I'm opening a can of worms, but unless the BG is actually shooting people and I'm in the same room, I will never use my weapon to protect anyone else. Only when my life or the life of any member of my family are at risk, will I ever use my weapon.

Solid plan in my book. If I cannot be definitely sure in my mind as to who the "bad guy" is, I'm gonna be a good witness and let the police sort things out. Only when I, my family or a few close friends come under attack will I use deadly force for defense.

I'm not a "super hero" and I cannot save the world. I will do what I can to help out short of deadly force as I wouldn't want to spend any time in police custody unless absolutely necessary.

Huh? What federal law prevents me from going into a store called "the old footlocker"?

I know where you're comming from and I can respect your resolve. But personally, if they have something I want to buy, then I'm going to go in and buy it. I will not allow a meaningless sign to dictate my ability to defend myself and my loved ones. Nor will I allow it to deterr me from purchasing some item that I want. I will totally ignore any sign they have forbidding my weapon and walk right in.

If they somehow magically spot that I am carrying and ask me to leave, I will immediately leave their premisis.

It doesn't matter if a person is carrying a gun or not, if a store owner asks you to leave, you MUST LEAVE.

It's not criminal tresspassing until you refuse to leave when they ask you to, so that is of no concern to me as I will, and have, immediately left.

Quote a federal law that supercedes states rights and stops you from entering foot locker.

    @BC1,

You're confusing me. I stated that there is no law down here in sunny Florida that prevents you from entering a store that has a gunbuster sign.

Then you reply saying Fl law has no bearing on Federal law.

So I ask what federal law prevents me from going in. You're reply is to ask me to quote the federal law???

That makes absolutely zero sense. What are you talking about?

There is no federal law preventing me from entering stores posted with gunbuster signs, and there is no law in Florida preventing it either.
