    WiFi access in Burger King

I was having lunch at Burger King today and thought I'd check out the USA Carry forum. Hooked myself into their free wifi and looked up USA Carry. Tried to open the site and was denied by Burger Kings system. It stated reason "Weapon". I was quite suprised and asked for the manager. She told me that they don't control what is restricted on their wifi and was sorry. Has anyone had this issue with Burger King? If this is the case I will eat at McD's as they have never restricted my access to USA Carry.

I haven't tried WiFi at any Burger Kings but I had the same thing happen to me at the University of Iowa Hospital. I could not get on this forum or on to brownells.com because it said weapons related sites were restricted.

They have every right to control the use of the internet that they pay for. We have every right to support businesses that support the Second Amendment. I tell the manager why I am taking my business elsewhere.

Well if that is Burger Kings position then I will certainly eat elsewhere. I was just a bit surprised.

It's the same at Caribou Coffee. They allowed it last week, but on Wednesday I tried logging on and was stopped by their stupid IP page. Then I tried to renew my daughter's NRA membership and all the pages of the NRA website work except the membership page. I asked the employees what was up with that and got a blank stare. They probably can't spell NRA.

Just because I don't trust "free wi-fi" I always use my cell providers 3G and never sign onto a network I don't trust.
