    Default Question About Selling Collection

Just wanted to get some info on selling a collection of handguns that was passed to me when my father passed away. Some are collector's items and so far I believe the best course of action would be to let Rock Island Auctions handle those. For the others (those that I think are too much gun for me), what is the best way to handle selling locally? And how do I go about finding the worth/selling price? Thanks for your help! (btw...I'm not keen on having strangers come to my house)

In your case, try a consignment with a local gun store.

I have sold at least 8 guns in the past 6 months at gunbroker.com...haven't had and issues once your registered...even that was easy...shipped everything from my local gunshop to their FFL for flat $25 fee...very safe transfer that way...get way better prices in most cases than at gun shop or pawn

    I would do the same.

The biggest market you can reach will be through GB. The collectors are always searching there for what they seek. I have sold allot on there and never had any issues.

Thank you very much!!! Sounds like a great place to start. I have some nice pieces that will be hard to part with but I feel they will be better appreciated by a collector.

Do you have any Pictures of the Guns you are considering selling to send????
If you do list them on Gun Broker remember to Share a Link to the Auctions here on this Site.
I'm also an FFL Dealer and do Handgun Transfers for $25. each here in Connecticut.
