I went onto the California's Angeles National Forest and saw an area that had thousands of cases on the ground. People have obviously been shooting there for a long time. I was wondering if any of you knew if it was legal to go onto the California's National Forest and shoot? Thanks for all your help in advance.

Sorry htis response is late in coming. I believe that in CA National Forest areas, you are restricted to designated "range" sites, and different areas have varying rules. BLM areas in general have much looser restrictions. You can check each of their websites for more info. Here's the shooting info for Angeles National Forest near Los Angeles: http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/angeles/recr...nt-shoot.shtml BLM info: http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/prog/rec...n/hunting.html Hope this helps.

Here are a couple of website that have info. In general National Forest land has more restrictions on where you can shoot. BLM land has fewer restrictions. http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/prog/rec...n/hunting.html Angeles national Forest (as an example): http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/angeles/recr...nt-shoot.shtml
