Absolutely love my M & P .45 .getting the truglo tfo sights as soon as they r released in 2 weeks FOR IT .u also might want to think about the NEW XDM 45.THE CONNECTION AT SPRINGFIELD CONFIRMED THE RELEASE OF IT , BUT WHE WILL NOT GIVE ME A SPECIFIC DATE OR MONTH. ONLY SOMETIME THIS YEAR.
Gotta go w/ Smith and Wesson M&P... I have 2 of them. 45 full size and 40S&W compact. I have 4 Smith and Wesson firearms and love em all.

I've never has a Glock, but I fired a friends and wasn't real impressed. I own S&W's and I own Taurus', I'll take the Taurus PT-145 3rd Generation loaded with either Federal HydraShok +p JHP's, or Glaser Frags.

Tuppergun, Tuppergun SF, Tuppergun v.1.5, and Tuppergun v.1.7
Stick with a 1911 or an HK. If your decision to switch guns has anything to do with capacity, look at ParaUSA's double stack 1911s.
I would love to try the XD's, but the morons here in MA have to make sure the guns pass all kinds of tests. They want to make sure the guns are not dangerous nor will they cause any injury to anyone.
I really like the dangerous ones.
