Default What States Allow CC (or OC) in the State Capital Bldg?

I've been curious about this for awhile. It seems most states disallow carry in the Capital Building.
I can't find a source for this information after doing numerous searches.

Perhaps some of you folks can help out.

I think you might get more google hits if you use the search words "weapon state capitol building"

Using those words, I found out the following (not applicable for LE officers):
TX allows CCW permits holders to carry in the state capitol
OK prohibits firearms in the state capitol
NC prohibits firearms in the state capitol
LA prohibits firearms in the state capitol

    Good luck!

In the WA capitol building/grounds, concealed firearms are permitted to be carried by CPL holders. Open carried firearms are permitted regardless of if the person has a CPL or not.

I am prety sure that South Carolina prohibits carrying in the Capital building, and the governor's mansion as well.

It is also illegal for anyone other than an authorized state employee to step unto the roof of the capital building. This was put into law to prevent people from sneaking onto the roof to take down the previous version of the confederate flag that was on top of the capital dome.

Legal in Oregon with a permit. We have a law against possessing a firearm in a "public building". And the definition of "public building" includes the capitol building. But permit holders are exempted from that law.

I think I read that TX has, or is considering, an "express lane" for people with ccw permits who are entering the TX State Captiol? Now thats what I'm talking about!! Show the card, bypass the metal detectors, enjoy your visit, and have a good day.
