The Sith are rogue Jedi who broke away and began to use the dark side of the force.
Han Solo is the only individual not of the extended Jedi "family" to wield a light saber.

Getting back to the thread--would Darth Vader allow an LEO to disarm him if he was CC?
Personally speaking and I am sure Treo will reply, if you or Mr. Vader are responsible CCers and believe in the society that you live in, which includes the presence of LEOs to "protect and serve" under, in many cases, stressful and dangerous circumstances, you will, if asked, accede to an LEO's request.
Darth Vader would do that thing where he used the force to pull Han's blaster out of his hand (Empire Strikes Back)
That said Colorado law allows a Police Officer to disarm you for the duration of the stop.
I always advocate obeying the law and would turn over my weapon to a Colorado Police officer if asked.
Darth, on the other hand, is going to have to use the Jedi mind trick

That is incorrect, Anninkan Skywalker was a Jedi Knight who took on Ashoka Tano as his Padawan learner durring the clone wars. Anninkan's Padawan obviously got killed sometime durring the clone wars as Master Windo makes a point of telling him that he has not earned the title of Jedi Master, I.E. having trained a Padawan who has then completed the trials to become a Jedi Knight.
Darth Maul, General Grevious, and Chancelor Palpatine were never in the Jedi Order. Count Dookoo and Darth Vader were Jedi Knights who turned to the dark side and became Sith Aprentices.
Note that Darth Vader makes three attemps to recuit a secret aprentice to over throw his Sith master Darth Sidious. He attempts first to turn his wife, then a secret aprentice named Starkiller, (This is the plot of the video game, "The Force Unleased"), and finally his son Luke.
