Red face Do I need a Concealed Carry Permit after I Move?

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I have a question concerning state to state licensing. I live in upstate SC, but will be moving back to MI in the summer. I have been considering doing a concealed class to get my permit. My question is, do the licenses go with you, or do you need a new one for every state? My gun is registered in MI. Thank you in advance, and sorry if this is a stupid question, just dont see wanting to take it twice.

Welcome to the forum. MI does honor SC resident permits but once you are a full time resident of that state you will have to apply for a MI resident permit.

and..since SC does not issue non-resident permit...unless you maintain property there...you will not be able to renew your SC permit.
