That's right, because we should only arm ourselves in the best of situations.

That's right, if I'm going into a neighborhood that is crime-ridden and rife with prostitution and drugs, I'll just leave my weapon at home and trust that the good people of Canton, along with their thoughtful police force, will rush right in when I'm in need of help. Bloody brilliant.

Yea... this guy is a beauty...where and the hell are the people who believe in each and every citizens rights...what are we all working for a living...not nursing off the teet of the public...why do I have to Prove to any one that I deserve to protect myself...from who they keep asking...well I say it is from people like him and the rest of his public servants.

Let me know when the cops and this councilman are fired. Until then picket the Pro Football Hall of Fame. And let the PFHF know it in a letter or e-mail. That will get to the council because bad press will hurt their tourism.

Might be time to look at a new Pro Football Hall of Fame... in a new location. Just like teams and their arenas, these can move too. Being that it's about the only thing worth seeing in Canton, if this place wants to be a backwater, then let it be so.

Does anyone have a link to the video of the police encounter? When I last checked, I didn't see it on You tube and I would still like to see it.

With regards to the City council president, he seems like he does not want to listen to anyone outside his municipality. He started on that rather famous Barbara Boxer rant about "Common Sense" gun laws. He also seemed to be OK with prostitution and crime at 1:30 in the morning, but not OK with carrying a firearm at 1:30 in the morning. He sounds like he has the hallmarks of an anti-gun politician.

Yep I live in cleveland suburb I rather go to Cleveland then to the akron / canton area any day. But I rather stay away from either if I have a choice.
