    Smile Carry locations

With a SC permit, is it permissable to cary when traveling in your vehicle? You are traveling thru SC, NC and VA. Or does the weapon have to be stored in the proper locations that are dictated by the respective states?

I am not a lawyer but it looks to me like both NC and VA honor your permit. That being said you should be good in your car with your weapon however you prefer to store it. If you take I95 in VA be careful the cops love to catch speeders and they can use some very sneaky methods to get you.

In kansas a ccw permit holder can carry their weapon openly in a vehicle as long as it is in their control. I have a soft holster between the seat and console where I can draw it easily.

If you have S.C. carry permit you can carry on you (Concealed)in all three states.
In S.C. if you are not carrying it on you it must be in center console or glove box. They must be able to close. Not allowed in open console Do not put under seat in any state. In N.C. you can carry ON the seat.
I'm not sure about car locations in VA. Best read carry laws in the state as posted on this site.

Read the carry laws of the individual states to be safe. If driving through several states I usually print out and keep a copy of the carry laws in the center console.
