Not my style
No. I think your conclusion is just about right on. I tried the SOB 6 O'Clock position carry for a short time. Not very comfortable and forget about driving. While the standing/moving around carry at the SOB position is not a bad selection, if you plan on driving or sitting the SOB is a pain in the back. Literally!
The SOB is very on the uncomfortable side when you are sitting. When you bend over I guarantee you will print.
If you have a semi hard cover (jacket or vest or something similar) then the SOB can be a good option for you. If you're covered by a shirt, the normal scenario has both of your hands/arms behind you to effect a draw. One had to raise the shirt, the second to draw the weapon.
When the weapon is extracted you are muzzle down and the wrist is reversed from the firing position. You have to move all the way around your circumference in order to draw a bead on your target. If you get rushed during the draw, your adversary could catch you with both hands behind your back. Not good!
It's like anything else. You need to try it to see if it works for you. My opinions don't mean squat, nor does anyone else.
You need to take in the advise and make your own decision on the type of carry for you.
Post what type of holster you decide on! Best of luck!
