Default How do you carry your Sig P229

I just got a new Sig p229 and am having trouble getting it totally concealed. I have tried the paddle holster (dressing around it), and a blackhawk iwb neoprene style. With the blackhawk I can get it close to being totally concealed, but the bottom of the grip still "prints" a bit. If I wear a jacket, I can get it concealed, but I want to be able to conceal wearing just a t-shirt. Just wondering if anyone else has had an issue and what they did to resolve it. I am looking (online) at the crossbreed supertuck, and that holster looks like it might draw the grip in closer to the body.

I have a 229 and I love it, however, I have given up trying to conceal it.

It's too big for most clothes I wear. I carry a compact 1911 now and conceals nicely and just bought a 220 SAS that is gonna piss me off if I can't conceal it. I'm really hoping I can.

do you carry the 229 on a regular basis in the crossbreed supertuck? I am having a hard time committing to the 90 or so dollars- I wish that I could try one before buying. Do they have the crossbreed supertuck at most gun shows? We have got one coming up soon, and was hoping I might be able to try one on there.

A Supertuck is pretty much a blind buy drop the cash and you won't be sorry, and on the off chance you don't like it someone will gladly take it off your hands

Crossbreed does a a two week return policy. Try it out. There is also a site for returned ones they sell. Someone can probably give the address as it is eluding me at the moment. If they have the one you need there, you can save a few bucks. You might also want to look at White Hat Holsters. A almost the same as Crossbreed, but some nicer features (some say) and cheaper. Personally have a White Hat for my full size PX4 and love it. They also have a two week return period.

thanks blkcheech- I watched a couple videos and looked at customer response on their customer service. What really hooked me was the replacement kydex- For twenty bucks more, you can have 2 holsters for 2 guns. Mine is on order now- I will post an update once I get it on how I am able to conceal with the maxtuck.

I carry my 229 daily in a Galco IWB Tuckable (very similiar to the Crossbreed). With some dressing of my shirt, it isn't noticeable. I got the Galco when I bought my Sig from the same shop because that is what they had. $40.00 bucks cheaper than the Crossbreed with thicker leather and finished on the body side.

I do have a Crossbreed that I use for my Taurus PT745 Sub-compact. Still a very nice holster. I'll carry my Taurus when I have to wear a suit because of the weight on my pants with a smaller belt.
