As to the bolded text, umm, no you didn't. Your opening question was:

Nowhere in the subsequent text did you explain how you arrived at that erroneous conclusion, and in my last post, I specifically asked you about it, and still you refuse to clarify.

First, it's "BluesStringer." Not a big deal, but the moniker does have meaning for me, so I'm gently (again) correcting your mistake. I think I feel another tirade coming on. LOL

No, I'm constantly cruising for interesting discussion. I don't lobby for "Likes," but if I get one, I take it as a compliment for having articulated an interesting and/or relative thought. And if someone calls me on a mistake I make, and are relatively polite and accurate in the telling, I don't call 'em a troll. In fact, I care enough about being accurate that I would give a "Like" to someone who pointed out a mistake I made. I have no idea why you resist admitting to yours so vociferously. It's kind of ridiculous at this point, considering that opening line of your OP has been completely and utterly debunked as having any validity whatsoever. Whatever, as per usual in this thread, you jump to conclusions about that of which you know nothing again. (Shrug)

So let me get this straight....Words like, "With all due respect" and "inappropriate lecture" and "erroneous description" and "lack of understanding" are derisive and abusive comments in your world? Because that's what prompted you calling me a troll.

The "sole purpose" of that post was to fight my own knee-jerk tendency to think the worst of cops, to articulate my thought that on this sticker (non)-issue, the allegations against them were completely unsubstantiated and rather stupid to begin with, seeing as I used to be an Ironworker and flew a union sticker on my truck too, but most of all, my purpose for the short (and polite) paragraph that I addressed to you was to point out that if anyone might be justified in expressing derision, it would be the cops whom you insulted with your insipid allegation that flying the sticker was some automatic signal from one cop to another that corruption was expected between them. To wit:

Lack if integrity and ethics. Think about it.
So I guess in a way you're right; I do feel justifiable derision towards your unjustified derision of cops and/or their families who deign to fly a union sticker on their cars. But "abusive?" That lie right there is an abuse of my attempts towards civil discussion with you.

"Duely" noted? What is that, like a challenge to a duel and you're taking notes? Ohhh, I get it....In your vain attempt to be glibly pithy, you misspelled "duly." Might as well end that post the same way you started the thread, huh? With a mistake.

Even when I was an active LEO, (I'm now retired) I would not display an FOP, NRA or other gun related sticker on my vehicle. I felt it would just make my parked vehicle a target, or if seen in my driveway, mark my home as one in which guns were kept. My opinion has not changed. And, neither my vehicle nor my house has been broken into. I'd like to keep it that way.

When I said that the subsequent text did not include clarification of how you came to your erroneous understanding of the symbol, it was in direct response to this:

When you refer to posting "this thread," you are referring to your OP, and the "subsequent text" that I referred to was the text subsequent in that OP to your opening line, which contained the erroneous premise.

Post #5 came after you were informed of what the "thin blue line" symbol means, and was not included in my previous response to you. My response was narrowly limited to exactly what I was responding to; an allusion to your OP.
