Default WI - carry more than one firearm?

    Hi Folks,
I know the law varies state to state. I searched the application instructions, frequently asked questions on the WI DOJ web site, and I can't find any information regarding, if it is legal to carry more than one firearm with a CCW permit in Wisconsin. Does anyone know? Anyone from WI out there that knows?
Thanks & Sorry if the answer was right in front of my face somewhere.
    Joe

I don't know WI law. I have never heard of any jurisdiction that limited the number of firearms that you could carry. In any case you should read all the statutes of your State regarding firearms so as not to get blindsided by some law you are not aware of and thereby lose your freedom and your right to carry. If, as I suspect, your laws are mute on the number of weapons you can carry then carry as many as you wish. If you go to CC Permit Info at the top of this page, click on your State, part way down you will see NRA-ILA which will give you a link to your gun laws. I suggest multiple reads over the next year as you want to imprint this on your memory. Now that I mention it, it is probably time for me to read mine again.

Thanks Caribou! I went through the whole Senate Bill 93, and I don't see anywhere, where it mentions the number of firearms you can carry (or cannot). But I'll check out the NRA link you suggested.

Wisconsin statutes do not limit the number of weapons that the holder of a concealed carry permit can carry at one time. For example, the definition of "weapon" includes a knife (not a switchblade). The holder of a concealed carry permit could carry a knife and a handgun at the same time.

Incidentally, it is one of the many anomalies of the Wisconsin concealed carry laws that concealed carrying of knives (not a switchblade) now require concealed carry permits. Check it out, you will find one of the several discrepancies in the law.

How is that a discrepancy? It's always been illegal to carry a concealed knife in Wisconsin. Now, with a license, it's not...

Thanks to all! BTW, I thought it was legal to carry a knife just as long as the blade was under 4" ??? But up here in the Northwoods everyone carry's a knife anyway (from small to large). So I never thought much about it. When I lived in Chicago, that was a different story (maybe thats what I was thinking about, the "4 size thing) :)
