Really bad idea - if you have to slam on the brakes or get into an accident, that gun is going to go flying. Remember the FBI shootout in FL in '86? One of the agents had that very thing happen, IIRC.

I made a holster that sits down beside my center console in my truck..I will put her there when driving.

Its always good to hear about another law abiding citizen carrying concealed.

But you should be carrying for self protection because the 2nd Amendment doesn't presently apply to concealed carry outside the home.

And the distinction is very important, least you become complacent about your state's laws that presently secure your right to carry concealed outside the home.

Those against concealed carry outside the home are working hard to eliminate those laws. Until we get a more expanded scope of the 2A in the courts, we can't rely on the 2A and must stay ever vigilant of the state laws that secure our rights in the present.
