Default Do you have to tell the police?

I know that there is two states that require you tell them right away if you are carrying if you get stopped by the LEO..(Michigan and Ohio)..Does anyone know of any other states that require this?

Wrong. I don't know about NC but in SC, an official enounter with an LEO demands you notify and await instructions.

If you don't know the law, it's fine, except when you start spouting off WRONG info.

That's what's wrong with this site, or any site. You usually always get the correct info but you also ALWAYS get the wrong info.

That usually leaves a thread usless as far as getting good info.

Go to the concealed carry information link at the top of the page and get your answers from there. That will be the most accurate source

Let's make sure we are giving the right info here. Understand that in Michigan just being stopped by LEO requires you tell him. In states like NC, SC, and TX you are only required to advise of carry if the LEO asks for your ID. Usually one doesn't happen without the other but there is a difference.
