Hello my name is robert and im in college for political science and i have been doing papers on the 2nd amendment , ccw and various laws pertaining to this issue. But i did run into a brick wall well maybe a wall that isnt so transparent.
This is for educational use which is for my college paper so this isnt about me but about other peoples circumstances; although some questions are not your typical questions this paper is more in regards to laws rather than just the right to keep and bear arms and also unusual issues people face. This pertains to Wa state.
#1-IF a person has a CCW license(and is a resident in WA state) then takes a plea bargain(in another state) of Misdemeanor of Assault (no degrees just Assault) would this be grounds for CCW revocation here in Wa state?
#2- How does Wa state perform revocations? Do they send you something in the mail stating they need your license back or do they come to your door. There is no info on how that process actually happens.Otherwise how would you know you license is revoked? does the judge have to say specifically "you 2nd amendment rights are revoked"? Not much info on this either
#3- If someone were a resident of Wa state but visit another state and gets a Misdemeanor(Assault or similiar) will that show up on the background check when police do their background checks on an individuals name is it only on a Federal level that would show?
#4-So based on the situations above if a person was a resident here with a valid CCW license then gets convicted (or plea bargain) to an Assault charge (non feloony)and in another state. Would they still be allowed to carry under their current CCW if it was not revoked for some reason?
Thank You for your time. sorry about a few questions which may sound like it is repeating itself but sometimes it is difficult to decipher laws..Any help would be appreciated especially from those that may know if anyone has ever faced something like this.
Strange your first post is questions regarding someone who may or may not be facing revocation of a CCW...If state law is the information you seek I'm sure any law Library can help you to research this. Since you are in collage, I'm sure the research documents are available at your school.
Why would want or need opinions from folks that may or may not be schooled in state law?
I will point you in the correct direction....

It would appear you joined our site only to ask this question?
Sorry but this is how folks get the "Troll" label.
Random internet forums are not properly sourced reference material. If you are doing a STUDY that needs a variety of OPINIONS, sure.
But, yeah, either troll or badly-hidden research by someone who is undergoing the exact process mentioned.
i know it sounds very suspicious i guess , but i do not want to fork over the $ for an attorney to ask a series of questions. The college here has alot of resources but not too much pertaining to these types of questions but they do have court cases where courts have made decisions based on the person charged offense, circumstance and whether or not they have a public defender or a private one. Right now im trying to see if anyone has known anything about this . I have actually went to my local police department and inquired but then again all they did was tell me to talk to an attorney. I'm trying to not spend money on this paper or resources to do so. All the questions i have asked are unusual questions that most people generally do not ask. And i did not just join to ask this question. I joined this site becaus e A) i believe in the Right to bear arms and also educational purposes as well. Opinions would be appreciated if they apply to any one of my questions. I am writing a paper on this not so much as an pursuasive essay but an educational one and the realities and consequences of CCW , violating certain rules and regulations and thereof.. Thank You for your help
sure law library is nice and i have used it quite often on certain cases and documents and what not . But what i was kinda of hoping to get out of this site was someone with more than just opinion but rather some knowledge on the subject in question. My reasoning for on this site is maybe there might be somone who may know the process. I have actually emailed the state on this issue as well but that takes time and since my question isnt pertaining to me but rather a hypothetical situation it may take longer than expected. But i have scoured the internet and all i get are citcations of court decisions but not a singe person who is knowledgeable in the area besides an attorney and they cost money and i would doubt they would accept my mere question if I myself wasnt in any type of legal trouble.
plus i dont actually think this site is a random forum either unlike glocktalk.com or the other forums i thought there would be someo people who would be knowledgeable in this area. Seeing as how this is a CCW site and you would know, right or am I just asking too much details in which you think im asking about this because i am some how being subjected to the questuion I am asking? Amazing how people respond to a series of questions an automatically say " hey your a CCW holder and your facing this situation"

Chapter 9.41 RCW: Firearms and dangerous weapons
I graduated college about 13 years ago. I had to do my own research for my papers. That is part of what college is supposed to teach you: how to research.
I am not anti-cop, I am pro-Constitution.
Does the sight of my gun scare you? Have a tissue...
For a person in college, you have a lot, and I mean a LOT of grammar and punctuation problems. Maybe I'm just being a jerk (which I often am) because I have a college education and I expect others with one to speak properly. But in reality, having proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation will help you get better grades on your papers.
Also, as a college student, you know that using advice from a forum is not a legitimate source for any paper. Your teacher will laugh at you if you try to cite Deserteagle or NavyLCDR from USACarry as your source of information.

Quoting anyone on this site will make the teacher laugh. I know, I am a college teacher of communication.
