    Default 1st day concealed carrying!

Good morning everyone. I have been here for a while, learning and soaking in all the info I can. It's a great group of people here.

I applied for my CWFL last Wednesday, the 24th, and received it in the mail yesterday. 8 days total for turnaround! Very impressed.

Today is my first day carrying. It is comforting to know that, no longer am I one of the sheep. I have been mentally preparing for this for quite some time, and the day is finally here. Hopefully I'll never have a need to use it, but I'll be ready if I do.

Thanks for letting me share that.

    Have a great day.

    Great. Have fun. Be safe.

    Thumbs up

Good for you! ALWAYS do so safely. I hope by your actions and a quiet manner you may influence any friends that know or find out you carry to do the same. Continue training and practice shooting along with practicing SAFE gun handling.

Congrats. Just remember "Owning a handgun doesn't make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician" - Jeff Cooper

    Training, it's a good thing.

Thanks for the advice. I have been shooting for several years and understand training is VERY important. I was once told "you fight like you train, so train like you fight." If things go bad, what to do should be automatic.

I will continue to train and become as capable and proficient as I can be.

Congrats! You may now defend your life away from home (with a gun) and not be prosecuted for having a concealed handgun. Funny, isn't it, that we have to lick boots and pay the gov't for a right that is already on the books...

Be safe. But most importantly be ACTIVE.
