Not only that, but all those years of running 5 plus miles per day, excessively heavy personal lifting and many other activities that the human skeletal structure really wasn't meant for, degrades cartilage in the joints to the point that keeping active in any way becomes literally a pain. I understand this all too well, as after serving a career in the Army and doing all the things that were expected of me, my body long ago told me that's it.. no more. Part of why I stopped when I did and did not shoot for 30 years. For those in area's where they can climb into a pool and do water aerobics or exercises, that creeping spread is not so quick to effect us.
And like ToddR, I don't generally take offense unless someone gets in my face and gets narrow-mindedly rude about it.

As I lie here in bed recovering from another arthroscopic surgery. My knee is in so much pain. My daughter who had the same surgery I did and she was back in gear within a week. Me It's going on my third week and am still experiencing swelling and pain so to your point ToddR my daughter 20 me 49. The older we get the less responsive we are to certain things. I used to be in shape until about maybe 5-6 years ago. Two knee surgeries and two back rehabs. Thankfully I have been able to get the epidurals in my back and was able to rehab it back into shape not needing surgery. I used to be very active I love the game of hockey I have played it all my life and in adult ice leagues until I was 42 but, it’s time to hang the skates up and find another way to stay in shape. I am not a gym freak or a treadmill kind of guy. Treo I am not offended either but, it just amazes me on the ignorance of people. You should think before you type.

Count your blessings. I've had four surgeries on my right knee, all stemming from the same original injury, and they just can't put Humpty back together again. That's mostly because mine was not your typical knee injury. I split my kneecap in half and did major damage to the structure within the knee itself. Then several months after the original surgery to put it back together, some of the wires came loose and tore through the ligaments and other tissues in my knee. My knee joint is okay, so a knee replacement won't help me, but there is so much damage to the surrounding tissue that they can't really do anything for me. They tried two additional surgeries after removing the broken hardware, in an attempt to remove some of the scar tissue, but it got to the point that they were creating as much damage as they were curing, so they had to give up. I have other issues contributing to my disability, but the knee was the first and most significant factor. So cheer up, it could be worse. A lot worse. The same goes for me. I could be in a lot worse shape too.

Your right Rhino I do count my blessings everyday and thank God for what I have. I wasn't really complaining though; I was just simply replying to another poster about his remarks about people not as physically fit as he is. Rhino I pray that you find healing in your knees because I know the pain in mine and I haven't had the issues you occured.

Forgive me. I didn't mean to imply you were whining or anything like that. That was more of a 'look on the bright side' sort of post. I have so many blessings in my life, despite whatever setbacks I may have suffered. I may sometimes forget to focus on them, as we are all subject to do now and then, but I'm well aware and thankful for them.

You might want to check out index. They make great IWB holsters for most CCW firearms. I sweat a lot also but this holster is very comfortable for me. Never had a problem with it moving or sliding. Wear what ever you want, pants wise, and with an un-tucked shirt nobody knows it's there.
