Im putting in my paperwork to get my restrictions lifted and I need some advice.. I live in Ulster County NY and am turning in paperwork (following Judge Gilpatrick's advice) to get my restrictions lifted off my permit. Any advice of things to put in my letter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
The best thing you can do is to call your Pistol Permit Office, and Speak to them. Find out what has been working for others as to lifting Restrictions.
Sometimes it's as simple as Respectfully Requesting that your restrictions be lifted, and other times they what Specific reasons
On why you want restriction Lifted.
Best thing to do is call, and ask.Most times the Clerks will advise you what the Judge Prefers. Good Luck.

i feel lucky to have gotten an unrestricted right away here in NY. if you were going for your permit just now i could tell you a bunch of things i was told to put down but i don't know about what would help to get restrictions removed. good luck
