I carry a Springfield Fullsize, Rock Iland Armory 4", and/or a High Standard 3.5" all in .45. I have also carried a Stoeger Cougar 9mm. I like the 45s better.

I carried a full sized Kimber 1911 Custom II for a while but just traded in for a lighter Springfield XD Subcompact .40. I loved my 1911 but I found that as a full sized instead of an officers 1911 all steel cost me about half a second in draw time compared to the light polymer of the XD sub. The CrossBreed is a brilliant holster, I wouldn't recommend anything else honestly! Happy carry!

I carry a Kimber Pro Carry 4" w/CT laser. As for my take on the military 1911. I retired in Jan 02. The Navy was changing over to the Beretta M-9. I believe all services have changed to M-9's.
