It's usually not up to the company. If the client isn't willing to pay for (and accept the liability for) armed guards then there will never be armed guards on that site.

I can't speak for Georgia specifically but in most states if you are a security guard you can not legally carry a firearm unless you are licensed as an armed guard.

This is true regardless of your status as a permit holder.

Is there some part of that, that is difficult to understand?

ETA there is a saying I read on gun boards that is very aplicable to this scenario "If you wouldn't do it without a gun don't do it with a gun." If his job is so dangerous that he needs to illegally carry a gun to do it he needs a new job period.
