I can't speak for Georgia specifically but in most states if you are a security guard you can not legally carry a firearm unless you are licensed as an armed guard.
This is true regardless of your status as a permit holder.
Is there some part of that, that is difficult to understand?
ETA there is a saying I read on gun boards that is very aplicable to this scenario "If you wouldn't do it without a gun don't do it with a gun." If his job is so dangerous that he needs to illegally carry a gun to do it he needs a new job period.
