Change my CC permit from FL to TN

I came up to NC to work for a couple of months from FL .I am going to move back my home state of TN. In NC I would have to do everything over. Safety course,background check and all the fees.I heard that in TN once you have your DL you pay a small fee and transfer your permit.Is this true ?
