US Marshals Backup Weapon Qualification - What is it?

I recently signed up for the concealed carry class at my local sheriffs office, and to qualify we need to pass the "US Marshall's Backup Weapon Qualification Course". I've tried looking around online to see just what exactly that entails, but can't come up with much. Thought I'd ask here and see if anybody is familiar with it.

US Marshals Service Handgun Qualification Course -- Modified

TARGET: The USMS uses the Trans Tar II target scored 5-4-3-2.
(we used the NRA TQ-15 target scored 5-4-1. When I practice myself I use an IDPA or IPSC target scored 5-4-2)

AMMUNITION REQUIRED: 60 rounds
DISTANCES OF ENGAGEMENT: 3,7,15 and 25 yards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARD: 210 points/70%

STAGE DISTANCE PROCEDURE
1. 3 yards From the holster, draw & fire 2 rnds center mass and
one headshot. 3 rnds in 4 sec. 2X

2. 3 yards Begin at the low ready with the handgun in the weak
hand. At the signal fire 2 rnds in 4 seconds
WEAK HAND ONLY. 2X

3. 7 yards From the holster, draw & fire 3 rnds center mass
in 4 seconds. 2X

4. 7 yards From the holster, draw & fire 3 rnds center mass
in 5 seconds STRONG HAND ONLY . 2X

5. 7 yards From the holster, draw & fire 3 rnds center mass
and one headshot. 3 rnds in 5 seconds. 4X

6. 15 yards From the holster, draw & fire 3 rnds center mass
in 5 seconds. 4X

7. 25 yards From the holster, using the high barricade for cover:
fire 6 rnds standing, perform a mandatory reload, drop
to the high kneeling position and fire 3 rnds, perform a
mandatory reload, go prone and fire 3 rnds. Total of
12 rounds fired in 60 seconds.

6 headshots required

Qualification Standard:
300 pts = Distinguished Expert
285-299 = Expert
255-284 = Sharpshooter
210-254 = Marksman
below 210 = DNQ (did not qualify)

This course is based on the USMS Handgun QC in use on 1 January 2004.

The USMS fires this course from concealment.

I see this is the:

And what I'm looking for is the:

US Marshals Service Backup/Secondary Weapon Qualification Course

Or does 'Modified' denote that it's for back-up weapons?

What State requires this for CHL?

Not so much a state, but a county. Here in Iowa we're a "shall issue" state, which means since we have 99 counties, and 99 sheriffs that means 99 different policies on concealed carry.

Where I live, Cedar County, Iowa, this is apparently what we've got to pass.

At least thankfully, if you get it in one county it's good in all the rest. That doesn't mean you wont be harassed by county mounties when your traveling in less than friendly locals.

I live in Cedar, which until the recent change of Sheriffs a few years ago was a "No Issue" was bordered by two of the strongest "No Issue" counties in the state, Linn (Cedar Rapids,IA) and Johnson (Iowa City, IA)...

Last year Linn's Sheriff finally retired, and after the election the new feller said OK to CCW. Now the silhouette targets are flyin off the shelves up there. And you know what? Not a single crime has been committed by those newly minted CCW holders.

Down in Johnson though, get ready to be harassed when they run your plates and see you've got a CCW, time to get pulled over for that 'safety' inspection. Johnson is interestingly enough considered the liberal heart of Eastern Iowa.

The letter said Marshals, the instructor said Marines, whatever it was it consisted of:

3 yards

2 to the head, 3 to the chest
reload
5 to the chest

7 yards
2 to the head, 3 to the chest
reload
5 to the chest

15 yards
5 to chest
reload
drop to one knee
5 to chest

To pass you needed to get a minimum of 24 out of 30 inside the silhouette.
