Default Non-Grip padding for that sensitive area between thumb and forefinger

Looking for inputs on strictly add-on padding for that sensitve area between your thumb and forefinger that seems to take the brunt of recoil. I am aware of grips that extend up to that area but am thinking more about padding add-ons just for that sensitive location. Comments? Thanks y'all.

A lot depends on the gun and how you plan to keep this padding in place?

On my P-3AT because it is so small that is a problem area. I resolved it by putting a Hogue Jr sleeve on the whole grip. The Hogue is too long for the handle so it needed triming and the sleeve is loose in that area of the grip so I took the excess rubber and neatly padded the "loose area" under the sleeve itself, then secured it all with a bit of super-glue gel.

On this small gun, it makes a major difference.

    Default That sensitive area ..................

My Walther PPK/S-1 feels good on my hip and in my hand until I pull the trigger. Then it bites. Can anyone offer an after market solution, especially one that is specifically designed for the PPK?
