Default Introductory Post - Weapons Shuffle

Just wanted to make my first post and get rid of the “you’re a cherry member” reminder on the forum. So here’s what I’m considering.

Appointment to apply for permit and expect to receive it next week. I have a Springfield XD9 service that I’ve own for awhile and recently bought a Glock 19 “for my wife”. I’m considering what and how to carry.

Get a CCW holster for the XD9. What’s the best option for carrying concealed? Any experience with carrying the “non-M” XD9 service (4”)?
Get a CCW holster for the Glock 19 and buy my wife something else. Would probably sell/trade the XD9 to make this happen.
Bag that, I’m gettin’ me a new carry weapon!! Smith M&P compact, Ruger SR9c, or XD compact.

I like to weigh my options. What would you do and why? Divorce is NOT on the table!! She finally took a CCW class with me, so she’s golden for the next 30 years!

Well, you can only lurk for so long and then ya gotta jump into the fray. Welcome aboard!

FWIW, I carry "non-m" .45 XD, full size, in a Mernicle slide holster on a 24/7 basis, mostly concealed, sometimes open. The better half shoots a 9mm XD.

Welcome to USA Carry! I have a Springfield XD9mm service 4". I have no problem concealing it in am IWB holster. Carrying my XD is very comfortable and i often find myself brushing my arm against it to make sure it it still there. I use a Uncle Mikes number 15 IWB holster. Due to limited funds i could not get a Crossbreed Supertuck. When i got the Uncle Mikes i wasnt looking for it to be a good holster because it was fairly cheap. Boy was I wrong. Good luck on getting your permit!

Welcome from an other Ohio shooter and CCW. There is a lot of good holsters out there I carry in a number of ways. Just depends on how I'm dressed. get what works best for you.
