    Default S&w 442

I'm looking to purchase a S&W 442 for a BUG and to possible pocket carry.
Do they carry well, in let say dress pants pockets or should I look at ankle holsters?

This is in fact my revolver I am selling. I have carried this 442 for many years and to my knowledge no one has ever known. With the Don Hume holster in jeans, pants, dress slacks and shorts... It looks like a wallet or pda in pocket. Great gun! Randall

    Thanks for looking.

I carry my 442 almost year round. I have a high quality pocket holster and I love it. I added a crimson trace lasergrip to mine and that made it perfect for me.

You can pocket carry but in dress slacks, it'll feel kinda like a rock in your pocket.

Uncle Mike's or Desantis Nemesis pocket holsters are inexpensive and work.

I have pocket carried a 442 in everything from shorts to dress slacks and you can almost forget it is in there - almost. Most definitely use a pocket holster to not only protect the trigger from keys, etc, but to also break-up the outline. The only downside I have is that my wife has realized how easily the 442 carries that I now need to purchase another for myself.

I've been carrying a S&W 642 for about 6 years in a MIKA holster. I am using the round cut. I can carry undetected in any of the pants pockets from jeans to dress without a problem. Also good in jacket pockets. Holds well and re-holsters easily. You may want to check it out.

The S&W 442 and 642 are awesome carry guns. Easily concealable in just about any situation and with any type of holster. Even with +P rounds, they are comfy shooters and a day at the range with them wont wear you down or send you to the medicine cabinet for some Aleve when you get home. Throw on some Crimson Trace LG-305 Rubber Overmold - www.CrimsonTrace-Laser.com/JD ARMS,LLC. and you're good for comfort and accuracy beyond 20yds.
