Not to mention that a hasty draw will carry the muzzle right across your body unless you're very practiced and very alert. Piffle on the back injury! How 'bout a 180-grain hollowpoint in yer hip!!People I train with pupu sob for back injury if fallen on.

I remember years ago when I carried SOB..I opted for a left handed holster and it worked for the purpose for which I intended it to..nowadays I carry on the hip at 4 oclock

I ended up w/ this one: http://www.desantisholster.com/067.html
it seems comfy, and does not seem to pose too much a problem w/ drawing when I practice. I may end up w/ another one eventually, but times are tight right now, and this does the job. plus, like DrLewall said, I can always move it up the hip a wee-lil bit
I like this one because it allows a shirt to be tucked in and carried at 4 o'clock.

The only problem I found w/ the IWB holsters are that now I have to purchase new pants the next size up.
I have 2 holsters for my S&W that are IWB made by a company I cannot find anymore - I think they are MJD, or MID. Anyone familiar w/ these? They are custom all leather. Anyhow, the only reason I don't care for them, other than there is no tension screw, is that they are IWB. They are gorgeous, and fit my S&W "very nice" to quote Borat. But, when I wear them w/ a shirt tucked in, they really make my pants tight.
That, of course is just my opinion. If anyone has suggestions otherwise, I am open to listen, as always. ....... mot
I didnt think I would like IWB myself but I tried it. My pants are usually to snug for IWB but my shorts have a little more room so I tried it with my shorts first. If I didnt like it then I wouldnt have buy more pants. Well.......I loved it......so I had an excuse to buy more pants. I only had to go up one waist size (30" to a 31") and they still fit comfotable even when I am not packin my 5" Kimber 1911.
My Vote is TRY IT.....ya never know, it just may work for you too.
and by the way.....I use the Andrews Leather Mc Daniels II

I may eventually when I can buy more pants. for now, what I have works.
I also have one of Sam's, macdaniel 11 and find my Kimber cdp loves it.
