    Default Non-resident permit application question...

Okay, I figured out my questions for the CT permit...
I will be mailing off my permit once I figure out how to complete the two fingerprint cards. Unlike Florida, they do not tell you exactly what to fill out.

Can someone help me with what is required information on the fingerprint cards?

Also, is copy of my birth certificate okay, or do they need a certified copy?

Is military training sufficient for the training requirement? (I'm still active, and I have also taken the NRA Basic Pistol, but the instructor only required 10 rounds for it... I'm taking another NRA Basic/LA Concealed Carry class in 2 weeks... but I'd like to send my application off sooner than that)

    Thanks for your help!

What is the birth certificate for? I didnt need one in October when i applied.

NRA Basic...you have a certificate of completion? Then send that. The cert doesn't say how many rounds you fired.

Due to the high cost and availability of ammo these days many instructors are cutting back on the amount used by each student. As mrjam said, it's not on the certificate anyway.

The birth certificate is for proof of residing legally in the US. Or I can just give them a copy of my WV Voter Registration Card... It's on their application (1 page instructions enclosed with the package).

I wouldnt bother applying, but I spend a lot of time in New England when I am on leave.

Again, thanks for your help so far! I'll just send them a copy of the cert and a letter from my command saying that I completed basic pistol in the CG.

I sent DPS an e-mail concerning their green fingerprint card and what to fill out... I'll post what they say when they get back to me (if they do).
