    Thanks for the info. They can keep my fifty and lower the cost for another applicant.... times are tough and the job stimulus doesn't seem to be helping. What a shock!

    Thought I would update this thread with some current information. A friend of mine just applied for a non-resident permit. It took exactly six weeks, mailbox to mailbox.

    Just got my CT NON_RESIDENT in the male today.. It was about 6 weeks....
    USMC / US Army
    Res: MI / Non-Res: FL / PA / NH / ME / CT / VA

    I live in New York and mailed out my Connecticut Non Resident permit and it arrived to them on 10/22/2010

    My permit says issued 12/02/2010

    I received in the mail today 12/07/2010

    46 days total with 2 holidays in the mix

    great turn around I think

    i have my CT application all ready to be mailed tomorrow, 2-4-11. i'll post here again when i receive my permit so everyone can see exactly how long it takes.

    I needed to get 3 bank checks made out to DPS. $50 $70 and $19.50.
    are you sure about this, i got three money orders today for $50, $70 and $19.25 not $19.50. hope i didn't short change the state of CT by .25 cents.
