Great outcome for the clerks. Not so good for the BG. Oh well, if you are going to dance you have got to pay the piper.
A dirtbag decided to rob the worn convenience store because both clerks were armed. Needless to say he'll never rob a store again. I think this is the best response for a DA that I've ever seen.
Clerks Who Shot, Killed Would-Be Robber Won’t Face Charges - News Story - WSOC Charlotte“After a thorough investigation by the Monroe Police Department and a complete review of the evidence gathered, I will not press charges against the two men who bravely defended their lives against a cowardly man who wore a mask to rob the Sunny Food Mart. The honest hard working families that operate small businesses must be free from the fear of being robbed. Those that choose to rob should be filled with fear that they will suffer the same fate as the deceased. In Union County we have a no return policy on armed robbery.”

UNION COUNTY, N.C. -- Two convenience store clerks involved in the fatal shooting of a would-be robber will not be charged, the Union County District Attorney said Tuesday.
Monroe police said 23-year-old Robert Young was shot and killed when he went into Sunny Food Mart, located on Walkup Avenue, on Thursday night and tried to rob it.
District Attorney John Snyder released the following statement about the incident:
“After a thorough investigation by the Monroe Police Department and a complete review of the evidence gathered, I will not press charges against the two men who bravely defended their lives against a cowardly man who wore a mask to rob the Sunny Food Mart. The honest hard working families that operate small businesses must be free from the fear of being robbed. Those that choose to rob should be filled with fear that they will suffer the same fate as the deceased. In Union County we have a no return policy on armed robbery.”
Young had a handgun and demanded money from the two clerks working in the store, officers said.
Sophea Pich and Sophin Pich were working at the family-owned store. One or both of the clerks fired shots at Young and Young also fired shots at the clerks, police said.
Young was shot multiple times and was taken by ambulance to Carolinas Medical Center Main, where he later died. Neither of the clerks was injured.
The clerks’ mother, Sophan Pich, owns the store and said they bought the guns for safety after a previous robber

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house;by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith Heb.11:7
Good job!!!!!!!!! I pass by this store on every trip to Monroe-live 8 miles out. Have been in several times and they have commented on my open carry. Glad they had the courage to open fire on the perp. with correct results. Will certainly stop in and say howdy to them shortly.
A very useful civil service done by armed citizens. It would be interesting knowing the dead mutts background I would be willing to bet it wasn't his first dance. Very glad it was his last.
Those are some good shooting Son Of A Pich's!!Sorry I couldnt resist.
Sons Sophin Pich & Sophea Pich. Mom Sophan Pich, Am I the only one dieing to hear what dads name is???
Levity aside, that is a just outcome IMO.
Thanks for helping clean up the gene pool.![]()
We need more A.G.'S like this one. His words speak volumes!!!
That's the way it is in South Carolina. Prosecutors will go out of their way to shake your hand if you rid them of a prosecution and a slime bucket.
