Detective Marc DiNardo passed on Sunday evening July 19, 2009 . He is presently on life support for the conservation of Transplantable Organs. My sincere condolences to Marc's Family , it is time for all of Law Enforcement to stand up to the Pandering Political Left that is and has been "Dismantling Law Enforcement" by not funding , reducing in numbers , the required amount of Police , Fire , and other Emergency Service persons needed to Safely Protect our Communities. One Man with his Agenda of Socialism is the reason. Even the "Lackey Head of the F.O.P. is groveling by endorsing in the name of ALL POLICE MEMBERS OF THE FOP " another Left Wing, anti-2nd.Amendment, Activist Judge for the Supreme Court. The carnage of Police needs to stop.
I pray for the fallen LEO and his family. So messed up that it's ultimately the politics of these leftists that are responible for this tragedy. Yes the shooter who fired the shot and killed the officer is "responsible".....but c'mon....these Pols need to support our public safety heroes and stop with the empty lip service! Just like when I hear a liberal says he "supports our troops".

These two statements contradict each other. Not to diminish the tragedy, but what could have been done differently to prevent this LEOs death? Other than keeping the guy locked up to begin with.

Yes.. alot of LEO from different agencies showed up... I can see where the report contradicts the other officer's statement. You are correct though... The real problem is that our justice system keeps letting these violent offenders back out on the street. Of course you have the overcrowding issue in the prisons...blah, blah, blah.... If there are that many scumbags running around, build more prisons. Letting them out is asinine!! And one more thing, killing a cop should be an automatic death sentence. Well, we don't have to worry about our tax dollars paying for this dirtbags three hots and a cot.

Contradict? Really? What was left unprotected while these officers responded? They have to come frome somewhere.

What do you expect from a city and state government that has so many officials arrested for corruption?

Since this thread has been dealing with the shootout in NJ and includes a reference to the "wonderful" and "dear" duo from South Carolina who started this (the woman's relatives, by the way, describe her as a "sweet and wonderful" young lady--wants to make you puke), we just have had a ruling on a shooting in SC involving a state trooper, who after a traffic stop in Orangeburg, was shot by the the perp after unloading his entire magazine of 45's; the trooper was srtuck in the arm (fractured), in the vest, and a 3rd shot shattered his radio. As quoted by the trooper, "his intent was to kill me--no misunderstanding whatsoever". This 22 year old piece of trash was sentenced to 17 years in prison for pleading guilty to assault and battery with intent to kill and possession of cocaine--he is eligible for parole in 14 years. Once again our judicial system and the laws that govern it have told the police that their lives are not worth much; you aim a gun at a police officer you should go away forever. When this trash fired at the police he fired on all of us; if he can empty his mag on an armed police officer, he certainly wouldn't have thought twice about you and I. The police are NOT out there to protect anyone, unless by sheer happenstance they come along just as some perp is doin his thing--they are out there almost always to investigte the outcome of violent crime. There is only one person out there who can protect you---you and you alone. This country is going down the tubes rapidly as these congressional and presidential miscreants treat themselves well and tell the rest of us to go to hell with their stupid, expensive, and unmanageable programs that will bankrupt us all--if you do not stand up for yourself do not expect the government to do it for you---hell they can't even balance a budget, stop illegals, run a war, and protect police. Take away our weapons because they are from the government and I should trust them---no way!!!
