I think there are 3 lawsuits pending regarding the "good cause" part of several "may issue" states ccw statutes. One in MD, one in NYS, and the other in San Diego. I think the San Diego suit is also challenging the residency requirements for obtaining a permit. (Maybe somebody on here can help me with this info?) If they could find that being required to be a resident in order to obtain a permit is unconstitutional, and also find the same for the "good cause" issue, I think that would be a step in the right direction for some type of national coverage.
Maybe I am way off on this? It wouldn’t be the first time. Any info or opinions would be great.
